Jeff & Tina are getting married!

Jeff & Tina are getting married in October! They joined me in Laramie for a morning to have an engagement shoot. Jeff, Tina & Hannah enjoyed a cup of coffee while Hannah also created a family portrait to include in their album! We then strolled around downtown - thanks Hannah for being such a great assistant! Kami's thesis update

As many of you know, my thesis defense has been rescheduled to sometime this summer (date coming soon!) as I was not giving my committee enough time to read my paper prior to my defense and already had to pay the same amount to graduate either in the spring or summer.

To see what I've been up to, please see Jeff & Tina's pictures as well as Melissia & Newly's pictures (pics being posted soon). These shoots have been styled after an awesome photographer and person, Davina Fear (http://www.davinafear.com). For my thesis project, I have been emulating Davina in both how her pictures look as well as the experience she creates to capture the images. Davina defines her pictures as real, fun & passionate. Thank you Jeff & Tina for walking about downtown! Thank you Melissia and Newly for braving the cold wind at the park and the fun game of bowling!

Charlotte & Patrick are getting married!

Charlotte & Patrick are getting married! We went to shelter #3 (Guess where they are having the ceremony?!) at Camplex Park to take a few family pictures. Whitney, Jey, Sammi & Mason were excited about being at the park and the upcoming wedding. Patrick and Charlotte posed for a few pics while the kids played. Kami is defending her thesis

I'll be defending or presenting my thesis - Davina Fear Style: A Photographic Translation by Kami Shober next Tuesday May 1, 2007 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the University of Laramie in Wyoming in the Arts & Sciences Building in room 226. The presentation will consist of a lot of photos - feel free to come see the defense! The presentation will take about 30-60 minutes, then my committee will determine if I have met the requirements for my master of arts in Communications.

An Afternoon with Jonathan & Tiffany

Tiffany & Jonathan are getting married! They joined me for an warm afternoon at a local park in Gillette, WY. Although a mountain setting would have been preferred, doesn't the trees make a beautiful background to Jonathan and Tiffany sharing how they feel about each other? Lena is 2!

Lena celebrated her two-year birthday with a Little People Farm Animal theme, with a spice cake designed & created by Icing on the Cake/Cathy Wilkerson, and big bouquet of balloons!  
Lena watched Nemo snuggled in with Uncle Mike  
 
while Daddy made delicious toasted french bread melts, and Mommy put out the cute farm plates. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Lena sat on Grandpa's lap while her cousins helped her blow out the candles. Of course, everyone got a turn to blow out the candles. Look at those smiles on Grandma and cousin Anya!
