An afternoon at Grandma's w/ Daysha (3)

I joined Daysha at her Grandma's house filled w/ toys and natural light! Daysha played on her Brio train table while occasionally checking out the packages under the tree. Continually on the go, her mom and I worked together to get her to look into the light - great work Amanda! Thanks for sharing Daysha with me! - Kami

Commercial Shoot - Kami's first Billboards!

Working with this commercial client is always enjoyable! The last two marketing shoots have consisted of traveling about the WY countryside visiting board members and employees. Talk about a small world, my grandpa (who passed away about two years ago) had been to visit one of the families several years back. Not only do I meet great people, hear interesting history about the area, but I also get to run around and take pictures of anything I want! I love my job! Thank you again to all who chose Shober Photography!

Wondering what to get parents-to-be?

Photographing a new baby for their very first portraits is one of those experiences that I love about my career! Being that close to someone so small reminds me of how precious each little finger can be. Typically when babies are born by c-section, new families can't be together right away. Pictures of the newborn can even be displayed through the room tv! A shoot on the day of going home can show how excited everyone was for the new one to arrive. Contact me at 877-660-4215 or shoberphotography@gmail.com to purchase a gift certificate or arrange for a shoot.

Kami's other job

Wonder what I do when I am not taking pictures? Or besides taking pictures of houses? I get to work on these custom homes by Shober Builders in Gillette, WY. Although you can't tell from this angle, my mom and I stained the concrete floor. Interested in owning one of these duplexes or single family homes going in across the street? Contact me at 877.660.4215 and get a complimentary gift certificate with Shober Photography!

Shawna and Levi are married!

What a colorful wedding! Not only did Shawna look great w/ her red gown (striped red & black tights underneath too!), but look at the fall colors! With the clouds threatening to break at any moment, Shawna & Levi were married at the WPA building with photos outside w/ the brilliant colors. The Halloween theme even shows up in Shawna's nails! There were so many details to photograph that I had an extremely hard time choosing which pictures to include.

Caleb is 3 months old!

Caleb AKA Chubby Bubby by his big sister Lena had his 3 month portrait. Daddy and Mommy took turns getting him to smile, but Caleb kept his grins guarded. We still got to see one of his side ways smiles though! We're getting ready for his 6 month pictures - how he has changed!

Nicolaysen Art & Discover Center - Casper, Wyoming

The NIC's Evening in Versialles took place in Casper, WY August 13, 2007. A wonderful french theme was seen throughout the night by caviar, cheese, muscians, and even special appearances - can you see her in the mirror? The Nicolaysen Art & Discover Center is an oasis of creativity that supports many local artists, not only in Casper but throughout Wyoming. They have a wonderful children's area for many of their classes and workshops geared towards little hands. Looking for something a little bit different, look at their gift shop! I found a cute string of ladybug clips for my niece's baby shower. See http://www.lovingourchinagirl.blogspot.com to see how little miss Nina is doing.

Belong to a non-profit organization and looking for a way to fundraise or provide thank you gifts to sponsors? Contact me to discuss your event or fundraiser. Giving back to our communities is vital! Photographic services were donated to the NIC by Shober Photography.

Partlow family

What a happy family! The Partlows joined me and my assistant (niece Anya) walking around the park. Anya was a great noise maker & Ben and Kristene were quite relaxed! I love the family dynamic and how everyone helps, including the little hands! Kristene and I went to school together more than 10 years ago and enjoyed catching up. To see more of their pictures, look at the family album at http://www.pictage.com/xml/photoalbum/album.xml?album_id=58349&event_id=EVV1:368608. First email me at shoberphotography@gmail.com to get the event key.

A note

Hello everyone new & old-
As you can tell from my infrequent posts, my life has been rather hectic. However, life has been wonderful! I am excited to see that I am settling into a style of photography and recognizing what is needed to create those images that evoke strong emotion from most people - thank you to all who have helped me get to this point. Your support and willingness to be yourselves while we do photographs is what makes my style of photography natural and pure. Creating my own photography business while pursuing my passion and talent has been a dream come true for me.
Thank you! - Kami
